Gamers of the 1st (and perhaps 2nd) generation marvelled at the first installment of Sonic the Hedehog on the Sega Genesis. For those of you who haven't enjoyed the various 3D incarnations of Sonic (or the myriad of franchise spin-offs), you can now hold your breath - Sega is returning Sonic to his roots in a new game that will be available for download on PSN, Xbox LIVE Arcade and WiiWare this summer. The new project is codemaned "Needlemouse" in a reference to the original working title of the original Sonic the Hedgehog game. See the teaser below, with a Video courtesy of Gamespot. |
