The guava fruit has a bad rep for its sugar content, but if used sparingly it adds tanginess and consistency to any fruit shake.  I combine guava shells from the can (they come in syrup) with bananas and strawberries.  Tropical and delicious!

INGREDIENTS
  • 4 pieces Guava from small can/jar Conchita or other canned Guava Shells (whole shells come in syrup)
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 6-8 medium strawberries
  • 1 1/2 tall glass of water (more or less to taste and for desired consistency)
  • Ice cubes (if you want an "iced" drink, reduce the water by 1/2 cup and add 3-4 cubes to thicken.)
PREPARATION
In blender, add all items and mix.  If adding ice, pre-crush ice a bit and then add all, mix.

iBuen provecho!
